Hey guys,
By now you all must have seen me in my new show Palampur Express. I am so sorry for not being able to inform you'll about it in advance, schedule has been really hectic!!
Anyways, thank you for loving me as Karan in Kitani Mohabbat Hai and do give me your responses to my new character. But for now let's discuss a very important topic of today's times, especially for actors - Fitness!
Working out & getting into
shape if I go a little overboard with binging on sugar & junk, is an
exercise I don't have to get myself to do. Unlike most people, I like visiting
the gym & paying attention to my body & working on it. I try to
frequent the gym at least 5 times a week. Exercising is vital & a must for
everybody & I'm all for it! It is important for your mind, body & soul.
Sweating it out, helps you stay & feel healthy. As the saying goes, 'health
is wealth' so everyone should swear by it! As an actor, just looking good,
acting well, delivering your lines, & so on is not it; working out adds to
your overall personality.

So basically, I do cardio twice a week. There is no hard & fixed rule as
such, but my regime is usually set. The training I follow is called 'circuit
training' which covers working on all body parts, followed by cardio. Shahrukh
Khan & I share something in common-our personal trainer, Prashant!

I am a big foodie but not one that indulges in roadside junk/fast food. I'll
probably only have a bite at the most & my taste buds will be satisfied.
But otherwise I am very strict on what I feed my stomach with! I don't indulge in
sweet, high-caloried food. Also if I do gain weight, I assure I'm back into
shape soon.
As for my diet, it is a healthy, nutritious one. I kick-start my day with a heavy breakfast, consisting of oats, & a glass of juice/coconut water/milk. Oats is a great cereal since it comprises of all kinds of vitamins, proteins & fiber. My lunch is medium-no rice/sweets. Just 2-3 rotis, some chicken, curd, dal, & vegetable. Dinner is light & I try to be done early by around 8pm. I generally eat tandoori chicken or a wholesome sandwich. Eating right is extremely important & Im not a fussy eater so it works great for me. Snacks would usually be biscuits or a protein shake, which is staple for evenings. Oily food is something I avoid

So that was my fitness regime & diet that I follow. And yes guys, one secret! My next aim is to get the infamous 6 pack abs. Hopefully I get them soon! Anyways, I hope I have motivated all of you enough to become a fan of the gym & a good balance diet as well! Trust me; there is nothing better than feeling healthy.
Love,
Hiten

Posted on: 04 July 2009 at 12:00am Hi Guys,
. Our hands are hurting from typing
Gauri-Unfortunately I don't get the time to because my timetable doesn't permit me to watch it regularly. But I have seen the serial sometimes.
Gauri-Feeling insecure is immature I think.
If he is required to romance his co-star then I'd want him to do it perfectly & flawlessly! Besides, Hiten shows & expresses his love often to let me even slightly feel jealous ![]()
Gauri- No not for a while atleast. Once I'm done with my pregnancy, then I'll resume with my career.
3. HITEN, HOW EASY/HARD WAS YOUR JOURNEY IN REACHING WHERE YOU HAVE?
-adventure_gurl SMITAKSHI anju26
Hiten- I was very fixed on making acting my career.
Obviously it wasn't easy or a cake walk. Even though times seemed very obstructive & unbeatable, I did not give up my dream. I advise all my fans out there, that no matter how hard life seems, do not ever quit. Believe in your dreams & yourself.![]()
Hiten & Gauri- We were both undoubtedly overwhelmed we bagged the roles & that too with Balaji, which is such a prestigious production house.
It gave us a great start & we couldn't be more thankful to them.![]()
Hiten- I was an extremely serious, hardworking student. I took my academics quite seriously.
Gauri-Me too. For me my books were my best friend. I was studious & scored well.![]()
Hiten-Well I'd love to try my luck in films. If a good offer with an exciting role comes along, I will surely take it but not any random part. It has to appeal to me.
Gauri- I on the other hand wouldnt want to try out in Bollywood. Maybe a parallel cinema but not commercial for sure.
Hiten- haha. Funny as it sounds but we don't take care after Beckham.
Gauri- Infact its the other way round-He is the one who looks after us!![]()
Hiten- I would love to play the part of the father from 'Life is Beautiful'
Gauri-my dream role is yet to come...
Gauri-I think you should read our blog to be answered in detail. You will be filled in better there ![]()
Hiten-yes I do believe in the theory 'out of sight, out of mind' & that is why Im here with all of you! I am happy with my role in 'Kitni Mohabbat Hai' for the time being. If a satisfying lead role comes along, I will take that up but for right now, keep watching me in KMH.
Gauri- I have no particular places that I swear by. When I travel abroad, I shop from various places, from the streets to the boutiques. But in Mumbai, I am a big 'Mango' fan!
